Add insect protection to your ultralight shelter system — the Escapist Mesh Bug Shelter features high-visibility 15D no-see-um mesh and a zippered door to block mosquitoes, ants and spiders. Hang it easily under the Escapist or Minimalist tarp, or pitch it using trekking poles or suspend it from trees. The waterproof Ultra-Sil LS tub floor wraps up the sides for reliable ground protection. Ultralight, compact and fast-drying, it’s the ideal bug-proof companion for tarp camping.

  • DHL GoGreen for orders to Germany, Austria, France, Italy and Czech Republic and
  • GLS Klima Protect for orders to Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Sweden, Switzerand and Norway.

All orders are usually shipped within 48 hours.

Delivery time can take up to 3 working days Germany-wide, 4 working days for orders to AT, BE, CZ, DK, FR, IT, LU, NL & SE and 6 working days for orders to CH & NO and depends on the shipping service provider.

Shipping cost:

  • Germany: For orders with a value below 100€ we charge a shipping fee of 4,95€. We do not charge shipping fees for orders with a value over 100€.

How do i pitch the Mesh Bug Shelter without the Escapist Tarp?

You’ll need poles for each end, such as trekking poles, plus guylines attached to the suspension cords at all six corners. Detachable Escapist Tarp guylines or lengths of cord work well.

Is the Mesh Bug Shelter no see um proof?

Yes. The mesh is fine enough to protect against no-see-ums, midges, and sandflies.

Can i treat the Mesh Bug Shelter with permethrin without harming it?

Yes. Spray-on or immersion-applied permethrin will not harm the materials of the Mesh Bug Shelter.
