Backpacking Chai Recipe
THERE'S NOTHING LIKE A HOT DRINK ON A COOL FALL MORNING ENJOYING THE GREAT OUTDOORS. HERE'S A CAMP FAVORITE TO MELT YOUR BACKPACKING BLUES AWAY.
MIX AT HOME:
- 2 cups instant dry milk powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
ALSO BRING:
- A couple black tea bags
- Bourbon for a stronger drink
- Your favorite camping mug (ours is the X-Mug Cool Grip)
METHOD:
Add 2 tablespoons of your chai mix, a tea bag, and a cup of boiling water to your favorite camping mug. Voilà, sit back and enjoy nature with the delicious flavors of chai.
