Frequently Asked questions

Suitable for use in rocky ground, or soil with a lot of roots?

Absolutely. The shaft and hardened blade are made to the same specification as avalanche shovels – the Alloy trowel will chop through rocky soils or roots with ease.

Worth the premium over a ‘garden center’ plastic trowel?

Definitely. We regularly find the broken remains of plastic trowels discarded in the backcountry - the absolute antithesis of Leave No Trace.
