HOW DO I SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM?

WHAT IS THE SEA TO SUMMIT WARRANTY POLICY?

This warranty policy applies to Sea to Summit products purchased within the European Union. If you purchased your product in another country, please refer to the warranty policy for our products in that specific country.

Sea to Summit designs and manufactures the best possible outdoor gear. We choose the highest quality materials, build to the most exacting manufacturing standards, and test products rigorously.

In the unlikely event that an item purchased from a Sea to Summit authorized retailer is found to be defective in materials or workmanship, Sea to Summit will repair or replace your product free of charge within the statutory warranty period. The EU-wide two-year warranty applies to the original purchaser, subject to valid proof of purchase from a Sea to Summit authorized retailer.

Because your long-term satisfaction with our products is important to us, we naturally look beyond the legal warranty period at complaints that are due to material and manufacturing defects. Of course, we will look for a solution in your interest.

This warranty does not apply to wear and tear, punctures or damage caused by improper use, modification or misuse. Furthermore, it does not apply to material fatigue resulting from age, use or environmental influences.

Sea to Summit’s liability for warranty claims will be limited to repair, exchange, replacement, or credit of the purchase price, view our full warranty policy here.

HOW LONG DOES THE WARRANTY PROCESS TAKE?

The length of the warranty process is dependent on the specific issue and product, as well as the availability.

WHAT ISN’T COVERED?

Our warranty does not apply to wear and tear, punctures or damage caused by improper use, modification or misuse. Furthermore, it does not apply to material fatigue resulting from age, use or environmental influences.

Our warranty does also not cover damage to personal items stored in or used in conjunction with our products. Warranty decisions are the discretion of the Warranty and Returns Department. Except in jurisdictions where the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damage is not allowed, then Sea to Summit will not, under any circumstances, be liable for any direct, indirect, special or consequential damages resulting from a warranty claim, and in no event will Sea to Summit’s aggregate liability exceed the price paid for the product.

HOW CAN I EXPEDITE MY WARRANTY CLAIM?

To expedite a warranty claim please be sure to fill out all of the information on the warranty request form found here. Additionally, for a sleeping mat request you can submit the production batch code to us on your request form.

The batch code is a combination of numbers and letters that can be found inside the inflate/deflate valve for air mats and on the footbox seam, near the middle, of self-inflating mats.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ITEM QUALIFIES FOR WARRANTY?

The EU-wide two-year warranty applies to the original purchaser, subject to valid proof of purchase from our Sea to Summit online store or from a Sea to Summit authorized retailer.

IF I HAVE A DISCONTINUED ITEM, CAN I STILL SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM FOR IT?

Absolutely! Sea to Summit proudly stands behind all our gear. Please note that if we are unable to repair your item that is under warranty and no longer have that product in stock then we will replace your item with a similar item or issue a credit for the purchase price of the item.

IF I BOUGHT MY GEAR SECOND-HAND, CAN I WARRANTY IT?

All items purchased second-hand (meaning items purchased on non-affiliated platforms such as eBay and Facebook Marketplace) are sold as is and therefore ineligible for the warranty.

MY NEW PRODUCT ISN'T QUITE WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR, CAN I SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM TO EXCHANGE IT FOR A DIFFERENT PRODUCT?

An issue such as not liking the product, wanting a different size, colour, etc. are not covered under our warranty program. Please reach out to us here for further help.

THE PERFORMANCE OF MY PRODUCT IS NOT WHAT I HAD HOPED FOR, CAN I SUBMIT A WARRANTY CLAIM FOR A NEW ITEM?
